ARTIST STATEMENT
My fine art photography is an exploration of presence - the quiet, profound awareness that arises in the space between seeing and feeling.
In my floral still-life work, blooms become more than botanical form; they are gestures of being, shaped by light, shadow, and gravity. Each blossom holds a story of emergence and surrender, an invitation to rest in the body of the image and to recognise something of ourselves reflected there.
Alongside these studies of nature, my portraiture emerges from gentle encounter - the unhurried meeting of attention and trust. I am drawn to moments where the surface dissolves and something essential is revealed, not through performance, but through presence held with care.
The work calls for a quiet gaze, asking the viewer to pause, feel, and connect - not only with what is pictured, but with their own inner rhythm. My images exist as invitations: to slow down, to notice the subtle textures of life, and to dwell in the richness of the now.
I create art that honours simplicity without reducing depth, that acknowledges fragility without diminishing strength, and that reflects the embodied experience of attunement - both to ourselves and to the world around us.
